(More customer reviews)I was rather disappointed. I thought they were wood. They are supposed to connect but I can't get them to come together in the right place to connect and they are hard to pound into the ground. I was even more disappointed when a couple of weeks later I found a roll of wire border at a garage sale which would have worked even better and it was only $1.00. I would have considered returning them but I already have them in the ground as best as I can.
