(More customer reviews)I have two major complaints with most outdoor water hoses: they leak and they kink. This hose has fixed both issues. At 100 feet long, there is no connection to leak. The connection to the water source is tight and secure and does NOT leak. So far it IS kink-free. Instead of frustration, I now water my plants happily and with dry hands and feet. The product was worth every penny and it came with an excellent warranty. I highly recommend it.

Nelson 2520 High-Pressure Rated Fireman's Style Industrial Spray Nozzle with Large On/Off Lever Review

(More customer reviews)I won this as a door prize and laughed. I figured it would be just something else to sell at the next garage sale, but I thought I'd try it first. I was impressed. It does put out a lot of water (we have 80# pressure) and the large end controls the stream easily. I'm able to adjust the stream from concentrated full force to a fine mist and since it puts out so much water, it cut the time I need to water the flowers in the morning in half. I'm so impressed, I'm buying another for the front yard.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that the on/off seemed backwards to me. You pull back to start the flow and push forward to stop. Also, it is heavy, but at least I don't have to worry about it falling apart like the plastic ones.
Update--Dec 27,2009 - I've now used 2 of these all summer and fall and am still sold. They're great. I was able to reverse the on/off lever by removing the screws and switching the handle to the reverse side of the nozzle as stated in some of the comments and soon found out why it's the way it is. When the nozzle is on the ground, it's very tempting to pick it up using the on/off lever. When the forward position is the OFF position, it's not a problem. When it's reversed and you pick up the nozzle, the handle moves forward (to ON) because of the weight of the hose and you end up getting soaked. It's happened a couple of times to me, so I switched it back to the way it came. I guess they DID know what they were doing.

It holds your classic plastic storage bins, camping gear, radios, coolers, small tool boxes etc. as well as a ton of other things within reason - its up to you because the width is adjustable. They hold up to 50 lbs.
I bought 4 of them a t Lowes for $7.00, and on sale at another Lowes for $5.00. I swiped up 10 of them.

(More customer reviews)These all brass unit get all stars. I have used them for years and have never had an issue/problem with any of them. I also use them on my RV water connection. I leave the male end always connected to the RV water line input connection. I leave the female connected to the water hose I use to connect to the RV park water faucet. To protect the RV male connection when not in use, I adapted an extra Nelson Brass Hose 'female' Quick Connector end with a cap screwed into it to keep the connection clean. Zero leaking connections and this makes it far easier hook-up to the RV park water.
I tried cheaper units and some of the plastic (?) rubber (?) units. Garbage. These are 100% quality and you can not beat the price.

The bars are extremely heavy and durable and appear to be holding up well against the rain. The only problem I've found is it is difficult to place this in a flowerbed since the soil isn't packed and solid. The weight tends to lean and eventually causes the entire thing to tip over. If you plan to put this in a well packed lawn it should work great.

This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. WASH HANDS AFTER USE."
WHAT THE HELL?? Okay so I can't water my garden, fill my kiddie pool, fill my animal's drinking bowls, or play in the water during the summer??
That is absolutely rediculous. It's a water hose, it's not rocket science. There is no reason a hose should cotain anything that causes cancer or birth defects.
I will DEFINITELY BE RETURNING THIS ITEM>
DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!

(More customer reviews)This is made in Turkey, but, it is made to old fashioned European standards.
It is a galvanized steel can, with a brass rose (perforated spout cap). The galvanized steel can is hot-dipped in zinc. This provides a very, very strong seal to the galvanized steel seams. Then, the entire can is hot dipped in copper (which gives some pernanency to the zinc seal and makes it very attractive).
It is pretty hard to find a better made copper can. The price here on Amazon is a fair price.
The seal from the hot-dipping is much preferrable to just an ordinary galvanized steal can. Behrens 210 2-1/2-Gallon Steel Watering Can. Without the hot dipped zinc and copper seals, a galvanized can will almost always leak because the crimping on the seams cannot be made tight enough.

It is banged up, scratched, packaged in a dry cleaning bag (can't possibly be the original packaging). And no hanging hardware (screws). I think someone used it, returned it, and I got it. I'm too cheap to return it, as the postage probably will cost as much as the item itself, but my disappointment caused me to write my first negative review of a product I've purchased on Amazon....
