(More customer reviews)This is the best soaker hose I have ever owned. It delivers the same amount of water at the end of the hose as it does at the beginning. The other hoses deliver far more water near the beginning of the hose and not nearly enough at their end. The Gilmour is far easier to use and takes up very little storage space.
The other hoses I have used you have to be extra careful with or they will break even when they are new. I had one at the beginning of this summer that I had just taken out of the package and it broke in two. I'd be very surprised if the gilmour ever does.
When I unrolled my Gilmour it was kinked in two places. I turned on the water and the hose straightened itself out without any help from me. Do this with a regular soaker hose and at the very least you will get a hole in it. Also I need to mention that I did not have to wrestle with it like you do with the others.
I will be replacing my other hoses with Gilmour's as soon as they break. That should be very soon.
