Unfortunately I TRIED to leave it out in the winter thinking that if I blew the water out of it (with the air compressor) - it would not be damaged. Not so.
First and last winter the old one saw as it sprang a leak upon reactivation....!!
And locally they were only selling the really expensive one with that retractable hose?
So - I paid a lot of money compared to the first one (about 1.5x) as I had to order it online or would have had to get it from Switzerland!
Summary - this is an awesome portable hose reel - that provides a great way to keep your hose (both diameters) and it is so good that I bought one at 2x the price because I was not ready to use or search for something other.
Just do NOT LEAVE out in the winter and there is a HUGE warning on the instructions about that - I was just testing it.
:) I wish that there were more resellers here in Halifax NS - or even in Atlantic Canada, because I could not find the item I wanted locally and time = $. So I bought it here.
No issues with Amazon at all - and FAST shipping!
