(More customer reviews)This isn't the typical Suncast resin deck box product. This deck box has a resin lid & base, but its sides are cedar. Very strong and durable, but durable in a different way that the all resin boxes. You will need to treat/protect the cedar sides as you would a cedar deck.
Amazon is my go-to retailer for lots of stuff because they're often significantly cheaper than other sources for the same thing. Not so here! You can get this deck box at Costco this spring (2011) for less than half the $380 price shown on amazon.
Even then (at Costco prices), this box is 50% more than many all-resin deck boxes of similar size. To me, it's well worth the additional price over its resin counterparts. However, if you don't want to hassle with caring for its wood sides, save your money (even the cheaper Costco price) and buy a resin version.
